Glass, fused. By Abel Valerie

Where do homos come from?

May 11, 2015 by Patrick Mullins

I've started working out some ideas for an upcoming art show with Abel Valerie. It's fascinating to watch him work out ideas for images, and so many of them are rife with story.

David Garrick as Richard III

David Garrick as Richard III

This latest show is an expiration of the origin of the homo, which is a confusing thing, because there are not a lot of clear stories, archetypes, or even stock characters. The ones that do exist are unbalanced, odd birds, like Richard III as depicted in Shakespeare.

So where do we glean these stories? David and Jonathon? St. Sebastian? The stories of star seeds and indigo children? Evolution?
